We want you to show us how you handled a challenging situation in your career or personal life.
You’ll then have 48 hours to complete the Video Essay after the application is due.
Kellogg recommends you block out 20-25 minutes a few days after you submit your application and complete the video essay.
This includes set-up time and answering the practice questions, though the official exercise takes only about 15 minutes.
You’ll have an opportunity to get comfortable with the format by taking practice questions that simulate the actual experience – as many times as you like.Request a copy of our team’s Insider Tips Report for applying to Kellogg. The crux of the essay is what you learnt from this experience.You should highlight the transferable skills that were formed or sharpened during this challenging phase of your career.However, you will not have the opportunity to re-do answers to your official questions.You are given 20 seconds to think about the question and up to one minute to give your response. You need to focus on the word “brave.” It implies there were risks involved as without any risk, bravery is not needed. Please use 12-point Times New Roman font, line spacing at 1.5 lines and 1-inch margins. You do have the option to use a non-professional leadership experience.Write down few sentences to set up the background of the story, and then use the majority of the space to describe specifically what you did, thought, felt and how you behaved.Use details to entice the reader and differentiate yourself from hundreds of other Kellogg applicants.
