Organised by the British Council in partnership with the Posties section of the South China Morning Post, English Master Junior 2019 is open to all primary school students in Hong Kong.
The British Council and Posties share a key mission – to make learning English fun.

Let’s get all primary students together to take part in a creative writing, poetry-reading and storytelling competition.

The deadline date for entries is on Friday 27 September 2019.Previous winning essays can be found here and you can see the Law Reform Essay Competition video here.The Grand Final of the English Master Junior was successfully held on Saturday at Mega Box, Kowloon Bay.They will have the opportunity to get involved in fun activities and to explore new ideas and concepts.More than 900 students from 78 primary schools took part in the competition in 2018.It encourages students to collaborate and learn together, and consider how they can be more active and responsible global citizens.The project is now in its second phase and offers a range of dynamic and exciting activities and resources for students and teachers, including videos, teaching packs, a newspaper aimed at young readers, and regular debates on issues of importance to children.If you are submitting your entry by post, please complete an entry form in block capitals and attach it to the front of your essay.Entries should be sent to your nearest postal hub, details of which are listed below.Please note that for postal entries, your essay must be received by in order to be eligible.We therefore suggest that you send your essay with plenty of time for delivery, as essays received by a postal hub after 1 May will not be considered in the competition.
